Lynsey is a working-class screenwriter and playwright from Glasgow who is passionate about telling female-led, punky drama, thriller and sci-fi stories that celebrate and champion rebellious women.

This year, Lynsey’s animated feature project ORLA and THE STAR GRID was selected for Glasgow Film Festival’s ANIMATIC Development Programme and is now being considered by a major streamer. Last year, the project received CREATIVE SCOTLAND funding to develop music and songs with composer Andrea Possee (Disney’s BAYMAX!) and she is set to direct her first animated short, KING CHARLIE which is being produced by IFTA award nominated producer, Kira Fitzpatrick.

In 2024, Lynsey was shortlisted for Edinburgh TV Festival’s ONES TO WATCH development programme and her TV project GAELS was in development with award-winning TV production company Pirate Productions, supported by Creative Scotland. In 2020/21, Lynsey was selected for the BBC Scottish Voices development programme that led to her TV project MADGE going into development with BBC Scotland. Her feature project THE COMPUTER was selected for EIFF Talent Lab Connects lab in 2022. She is represented by Imagine Talent in the UK.
