Writing across comedy and drama, Dave is a screenwriter and playwright who enjoys dissecting the off-kilter aspects of the human condition – morally ambiguous characters traversing ethical minefields.

His Hampstead Theatre play Experience was shortlisted for the Nick Darke Award. Dave then adapted it into the feature film Embers, which was part of a BFI London Film Festival showcase, before being nominated for Best UK Feature at Raindance Film Festival. Dave has had several plays at the Edinburgh Festival, including Somewhere Beneath, winner of a Fringe First Award. His short plays have been produced at the Royal Court, Soho Theatre, and the Criterion, West End. He was longlisted for both the Channel 4 Screenwriting Course and the Bruntwood Prize for Playwriting, and his plays are published by Bloomsbury. His most recent play The Gift at Park Theatre received a host of four and five star reviews, and is being developed into a sitcom.

Dave is a BAFTA Connect Member, a BBC Voices and BBC Drama Room alumnus, and his comedy Shock Jock aired on Radio 4. His TV sitcom and drama pilots have been optioned by Hat Trick, LA Productions and Avalon; and he has developed projects with Red Productions, Rollem, Motif Pictures, DLT Entertainment, and Tiger Aspect. Dave’s feature thriller Sins In The Family premiered on Lifetime/Paramount+.
