Andrea wrote her first joke in 2010 and within a year, her material was being used on The News Quiz. Her one-liners, links, sketches and parody songs have been used in shows on TV, radio, stage, online and in podcasts. She is also an experienced freelance writer of online articles and social media content.

Andrea’s first feature spec screenplay, the romantic comedy-drama FADO!, was optioned by Golden Globe-winning producer Gareth Wiley, with Emily Watson and Richard E. Grant later attached to star.

Andrea has since been hired to write more feature films, and has a second spec feature in development. She is currently writing her second feature for Forty Foot Films and her first TV pilot spec script.

She was the lead writer on acclaimed comedy politics podcast Strong And Stable, and a regular joke writer for the Have I Got News For You social media accounts.

Andrea has spoken about comedy and writing on panels at the London Screenwriters’ Festival, The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, the Big Comedy Conference and the Craft Of Comedy Writing Conference. She has twice been a judge for the Funny Women Comedy Awards.
