Andrea wrote her first joke in 2010 and within a year, her material was being used on The News Quiz. Her one-liners, links, sketches and parody songs have been used in shows on TV, radio, stage, online and in podcasts. She is also an experienced freelance writer of online articles and social media content.

Andrea’s first feature spec screenplay, the romantic comedy-drama FADO, was optioned in 2018 and is currently in pre-production. Directed by Jason Wingard and produced by Gareth Wiley, it will star Emily Watson and Richard E. Grant.

Andrea was hired to write a second feature – a comedy-drama based on true events – in 2020. She is currently working on a new (musical romantic comedy-drama) spec script.

Andrea has spoken about comedy writing, women in comedy and social media on panels at the London Screenwriters’ Festival, The Writers’ Guild of Great Britain, the Big Comedy Conference, the Craft Of Comedy Writing Conference and Mumsnet Blogfest. She has twice been a judge at the Funny Women Comedy Awards.
