Chris has a passion for crime thrillers and genre-bending mysteries. He develops bold, distinctive drama concepts with a pulsating plot, a big heart, and a juxtaposition of light and shade, which explore thought-provoking themes and play with audience expectations.
Chris’s writing craft has been honed by over 25 years’ experience in script development. He’s worked across TV and film for many UK and International production companies, from script and story editor roles to Head of Development and Vice President of Creative. Over the years, Chris has managed many writers’ rooms and literary adaptation projects, editorially guiding dramas from concept to screen.
Chris has worked editorially on hit TV shows including BBC crime thriller, SILENT WITNESS (Emilia Fox, David Caves); Starz drama, THE WHITE PRINCESS (Jodie Comer, Michelle Fairley); BBC supernatural thrillers, LIFE LINE (Ray Stephenson, Joanna Whalley), and SEA OF SOULS (Bill Paterson, Ben Miles, Douglas Henshall).
He’s also worked editorially on films, including GHOST STORIES (Martin Freeman, Andy Nyman, Paul Whitehouse); FINDING YOUR FEET (Imelda Staunton, Timothy Spall); SLAUGHTERHOUSE RULEZ (Simon Pegg, Michael Sheen); and MALEVOLENT (Florence Pugh, Celia Imrie).
Alongside his writing, Chris often works as a drama consultant for production companies, assessing their projects for commercial potential, advising on script and story development, and helping to package projects for market outreach.
