Multi-award winning writer and director, Patricia Kelly also produces, edits and acts. She set up MnáMná Films in 2019 and is passionate about amplifying characters rarely seen and voices not usually heard on film and TV. She often works in the genres of social-realist drama, black comedy and psychological thriller, focussing on stories of deep human connection against all odds.

Her debut feature film Verdigris is picking up major awards at every film festival it screens – Best Feature Film, Irish Film Festival London; Best Narrative Feature, Kerry International Film Festival; Best Irish Film, Newport Beach Film Festival and Best Independent Film, Galway Film Fleadh.

Her short films also received numerous awards and nominations as they screened worldwide and her radio comedy play I Don’t Usually Do This was commissioned by national broadcaster RTE Radio1. Her upcoming feature film A Cold Snap has been optioned by Prelude Content and she has a number of other film and TV projects in development.

Patricia has an MA in Screenwriting for Film & TV, 1st class BA (Hons) in English Literature and enjoys guest lecturing on University and College media courses. She has been a speaker at seminars and workshops run by Women in Film and TV Ireland, Irish Film Festival London and at the prestigious Camerimage Film Festival in Poland. She also worked as a script reader for Northern Ireland Screen for four years.
