After studying graphic design and then experimental film making at the School of Fine Arts in Kassel, Germany, Marko was offered a bursary to study abroad. He completed his MA in fiction film direction at the Northern Film School in Leeds UK with his 4th, award-winning short FAREWELL CHARLIE POWER (GOLD at the Houston International Film festival).

Marko was subsequently commissioned by the UK Film Council (Screen Yorkshire) to direct a digital short called THE BINMAN.

Marko's first feature script LEROY PURCELL - a road movie set in the south of the US – is being produced by Focus Films. His second feature DECEIT was chosen for the BAFTA Rocliffe Forum List, and he has recently taken part in Channel 4’s prestigious Coming Up.

He is also developing another feature and a number of TV series ideas.
