Lorna has always been a huge fan of comedy and spent much of her youth re-enacting sketches from Victoria Wood (As Seen On TV) and Absolutely. It was shows like these that inspired Lorna to work in TV and film where she was a freelance Assistant Director for over 13 years.

Lorna wrote her first sitcom Bumps in 2015 and it was longlisted in BBC Writers Room. Her second sitcom, Blog Off, was shortlisted in the Funny Women Writing Competition 2016 and her radio sitcom, Bea Ware, made it to the Grand Finals of Sitcom Mission 2016.

In 2017 Lorna won the Have I Got News For You Photo-Joke competition at The Craft of Comedy which lead to her getting an Additional Material credit on HIGNFY series 54.

In 2018, Lorna's sitcom, Crashed got to the Quarter Finals of the International Page Awards and her most recent sitcom, Tudor Roses, was shortlisted by BAFTA Rocliffe 2019 and was a runner up in The Funny Women Writing Awards 2019.

In September 2019 Tudor Roses was chosen by The Female Pilots' Club to be read in front of an audience by well known comedy actors such as Robert Webb, Kerry Howard and Maggie Ollrenshaw among others.

Lorna is currently working on a couple of new sitcoms and is involved in developing a new sketch show.
