Karen specialises in edgy dramas and thrillers featuring flawed and complex female characters.

Karen has enjoyed success as a radio playwright (GLA/LBC radio playwrights award, UK entry for Prix Italia Awards); theatre playwright and director (runner-up, Verity Bargate Award; nominee, Sunday Times Best New Play Award, publication by Methuen Books, stagings throughout the UK and off-off Broadway); and as a short film writer/director (over 30 international film festival screenings, and six ’Best Film’/ ‘Best Director’ awards).

Her coming-of-age girl gang feature screenplay, ‘Ladykilaz’, was selected as a 2013 Nicholl Fellowship Top 50 script.
